Business Development/IT Account Manager

We are a well established and rapidly expanding Information Technology service provider looking to place a Business development/ IT Account Management professional in the Rochester market.

The Business Development portion of the job consists of identifying and following up with prospects to present the company’s services, value proposition and differentiation from local competition. Conducting follow up meetings to perform needs analysis and then building proposals through collaboration with our engineers. Presenting proposals to prospects and compelling them to do business with our company.

The IT Account Management portion of the job is primarily maintaining contact with assigned customers to provide timely proposals for services and technology needs. In this capacity, relationship management tasks and customer service are required to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.

The Business Development/IT Account Manager will work directly for the General Manager and throughout the sales process work with and be supported by the management team.

Job Description - IT Account Manager

Title: IT Account Manager

Reports To: General Manager

Location: OCG Rochester, New York

Job Purpose:

To plan and carry out direct marketing and sales activities, so as to develop and maintain sales for OCG Computing Inc. in a defined territory, in accordance with agreed business plans.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  1. Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business goals, including sales and costs and especially managing personal time and productivity.
  2. Plan and manage assigned territory according to agreed market development strategy
  3. Develop new customers, maintain existing customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
  4. Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems and update relevant information held in these systems as per company guidelines
  5. Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timelines, integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities
  6. Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods
  7. Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
  8. Record, analyze, report, and administer according to systems and requirements
  9. Communicate, facilitate, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to develop profitable business and sustainable relationships
  10. Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings to perform duties and aid business development
  11. Attend training and develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills
Territory, Services, Prospects, Customers:

The sales territory for the Rochester IT Account Manager is the 20 mile radius around Rochester, NY. All services and equipment provided by OCG is within your authority to market to customers and prospects.

New customers are any business that does not currently do business with OCG. Prospects are any business that could use a service or product OCG offers.


Systems/Software Technician
OCG is looking for a field technician to service, install, and maintain networks/equipment in our clients' offices. This includes hardware setup, installing software (both OS and application), network setup, setup/service of other office equipment. Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to work independently. Candidate must have reliable transportation to our office and job sites around Rochester, NY. We are willing to provide certification training to long term candidates.

Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of computer hardware and applications
  • 2+ years experience as computer technician or other related field
  • Able to work independently at off-site locations
  • Must be well spoken and driven to succeed
  • Must be able to pass drug test and background check

Systems Engineer
OCG is looking for an IT Engineer responsible for designing and developing systems and providing systems support by performing the following duties.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Certifications in computer hardware and applications
  • 5+ years experience as computer professional other related field with some management experience
  • Research new technologies as they emerge
  • Analyze, determine and specify subsystems or system requirements to assure performance and integration other systems
  • Apply knowledge of hardware, software, operational analysis and test and integration to assure system concept feasibility and integrity
  • Plans, develops, administers and supports management plans and controls that assure accomplishment of defined objectives
  • Recommends selection, approval, and acquisition of hardware, software, networking components, and services
  • Supervises, installs, configures, and tests work stations with supporting hardware, software, and networking components as needed
